National Stress Awareness Day

Did you know that stress doesn't just mess with your mind—it can also wreak havoc on your hair? As we raise awareness about the impact of stress on our lives today, I wanted to share some natural ways to combat stress and protect not just your peace of mind, but your hair health as well! Here are four great techniques to help you destress naturally. 

Deep Breathing Exercises: Take a few moments to focus on your breath. Inhale deeply through your nose, feeling your lungs fill up, hold it for a couple of seconds, then exhale slowly through your mouth. It's amazing how something as simple as focusing on your breath can help calm your mind and relax your body.

Nature Walks: Get outside and take that hot girl walk - trust me, no one’s ever regretted a walk! Connecting with nature has a way of putting things into perspective and soothing your soul.

Journaling: Grab a pen and paper (or your favorite digital note-taking app) and start jotting down your thoughts and feelings. Don't worry about grammar or spelling; just let your thoughts flow freely. Writing can be incredibly therapeutic, allowing you to unload your worries and gain clarity on what's bothering you. 

Mindful Meditation: Find a quiet and comfortable spot to sit or lie down. Close your eyes and focus on the present moment. Notice the sensations in your body, the sounds around you, and the thoughts passing through your mind without judgment. Mindful meditation is all about being fully present and accepting things as they are. It's like giving your mind a mini vacation from the chaos of everyday life.
